What is an Aggregate Crushing and Screening Plant and How Does It Work?
An aggregate crushing and screening plant is a facility designed to produce aggregates (sand, gravel, crushed stone, etc.) used in the construction industry. These plants perform the processes of crushing and screening natural stones or large rocks to reduce them to the desired sizes.
Working Principle:
Feeding: Large-sized stones or rocks are fed into the crusher by a feeding device (hopper).
Crushing: The fed materials are crushed by jaw crushers, impact crushers, or cone crushers to reduce them to smaller sizes.
Screening: The crushed materials are passed through vibrating screens to classify them into different sizes.
Stockpiling: The aggregates of different sizes obtained after screening are stored in stockpiles and are ready for use.
